What are you buying?

What do the load sizes mean:
Split wood is best measured in volume rather than weight. The heavier the wood the wetter it will be. Dry wood is what you need for efficient wood fuel. Our loads offer roughly the following in split logs/pieces:

Half a load is around 200 - 250 pcs (20 bags)
full load is approx around 400 - 480 pcs (40 bags)
We have no maximum load size !!

What is a Kiln and what is Kiln dry wood ?
A kiln is a heated room insulated and ventilated. This is run using our wood waste enabling us to further reduce our Carbon footprint.
The Kiln room drys our wood to a moisture content target between 0% - 18% which is perfect for burning efficiently in wood burners, boiler and open fires.
We are one of only a few companies that can kiln dry firewood in Cornwall.
Due to the use of our kiln we always have a supply of dry woodfuel all year round.

We work with local estates and land owners as forestry managers and have a scheduled 5 - 10 year replanting scheme in place ensuring we can always source local timber today and in the future; for sawmilling and wood fuel. Nothing is wasted during the process and as we source locally we clock up less carbon miles as our wood is transported.

Loads are delivered in 60 x 46 cm netted bags, *1 loose cubic metre = 20 bags *2 loose cubic metres = 40 bags
Logs are split to 9 inches as standard, if you require smaller or larger please request this when you order, lead times will be be longer on these orders. An additional charge may be incurred for this service.
